League of Legends – Guide
League of Legends (LoL) is one of the most popular free online games on the internet. It was one of the first games in the MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) genre. Those who are beginners in this game should learn few things before they start playing with real opponents.
First of all, you should know that there are three different types of gameplay
– PvP, Co-op vs Al. and custom game. The first one is focused on playing between real players instead of fighting computer controlled opponents. It is good to point out that this gameplay comes in three game modes
– classic, dominion and ARAM. The first mode is self-explanatory; the second is based on capturing points or areas and the last one allows players to fight at once in the central road. Those who don’t wait for other players to join the game can try the Co-op vs Al. gameplay. Although you are not fighting real opponents you will still get experience points. Of course, in this mode there is no ARAM option available. Finally, you can choose a custom game which means that you can modify almost all the parameters that you want
– the number of players and you can also create a password protected game that will be exclusively used by people that you want to participate. You can play against other teams or you can choose to fight with your friends against bots.
Once you have chosen a map and the game type (the way champions are chosen) you can choose your character. Keep in mind that this is one of the most important parts of the game because it will certainly influence the outcome of the battle. You probably know your gaming style so try to find a character that suits you the best. Make sure to find out what their weaknesses and strengths are before choosing one.
There are few types of champions that you can choose from:
Tanks – they are very resistant to attacks but don’t cause much damage;
Marksmen – not very strong, but they can cause a lot of damage from long distance;
Fighters – they are very strong and cause significant damage;
Assassins – these champions can cause a lot of damage quickly and they tend to stay hidden etc. Each champion has attack power, defense power and ability power and the good thing is that they can be upgraded as you progress through the game.
There is no champion with equal level of attributes, they all have one attribute that is well developed and this is what defines their style. In addition to these attributes you can also buy items and strengthen your character’s power.
As soon as the game begins you will need to have a strategy in order to win. League of Legends is a complex game and those who are able to work with their teammates and find the right way to destroy enemy’s structures will be victorious.
If you have good communication with your team and if you start destroying structures with a precise plan you can expect to win the game.
